What Are We Going to Do?

Using this guide, you will learn about XML by creating a simple XML document and an accompanying Cascading Style Sheet (CSS), and then viewing your work in a Web browser. The XML document will contain the information you want to present, and the CSS will tell your Web browser how to display it.

Confused? Don't worry if the preceding paragraph doesn't make much sense yet. You'll learn lots of XML-related terms as we go along. And if you're ever confused about terminology, try clicking the Glossary link at the bottom of each page.

You can take a Sneak Peek at how the XML document will look in a Web browser when you're finished.
