FrameMaker uses two different windows to support modifying Elements and their Attributes. The section shows these windows and their capabilities for Structured documents
Please note that the FrameMaker Validation of XML Documents section will provide details on the definition of Elements and their rules for the document's structure.
Elements can be added within either the Document or Structure windows. The cursor points to the location of these changes. The figure below shows the Element window for a given location of the example document. The following paragraph explains the control features of this window including the support window for the Options button.

Insert: Adds an Element
Wrap: Adds a new Element and converts the existing Elements into children
Change: Allows author to change one Element into another easily
The Option button opens a support window that allows the author to control the type of Elements shown in the Catalog in the following ways.
Show Elements that are allowed at the cursor location
Show Elements allowed at the cursor location and any children allowed later in the Element
Show all Elements for the current Element parent
Show All Elements
Show Elements in a list developed by the author
