This section introduces the window that is commonly used for editing both structured and unstructured documents.

Document View with Tags

The Document window supports different forms of mark-up for the page. The figure above shows Borders, Rulers, XML Element and Text tags. The figure below is a close-up of the pull-down menu for selection the window's appearance.

Editorial: One disappointment with FrameMaker's Element Tags in Document View is that you cannot compress an Element and its children to save screen space.
