XML is
one of the most popular industry formats for document publishing
and web application development. It is an extensible and
elegant solution that is being rapidly incorporated in next-generation
document, web and eBusiness application strategies. As such,
XML skills are in huge demand. For example, technical writers
who understand web technologies (e.g. HTML, Javascript,
XML) are able to command higher salaries in the job market
[article].
Professional XML Authoring provides you with a comprehensive
understanding of XML. It is a 12-week online course that covers
all aspects of XML including processes, methods, document type
definitions (DTD), XML schemas (XSD), XSLT, and CSS.
This course provides you with both
the tools and the training to create XML documents. These
XML documents are used as a single source medium to dynamically
generate multiple kinds of output (e.g. PDF, HTML, RTF,
etc). The course is ideal

The PXA course is extremely well structured
and designed... You can customize the level of work you want
to apply (from basic to advanced) and hence the level you
want to achieve by the end of the course. I wrapped a real
life experience around the assignments and it was a tremendous
learning experience! I now have no problem participating actively
in meetings dealing with XML subject matter (either on a business
or technical level). In all, I rate the Online-learning.com
XML course 9.5 out of 10. -- Corrine
I really enjoyed this class. The pace of
this class was perfect for me -- I was able to work though
the sections after a long day at work and not go crazy. Susan
was always very helpful whenever I contacted her. I enjoyed
working through all the assignments -- they kept me challenged.
Thanks! - Cathy
In this point I may only say what was most interesting for
me. It was DTD authoring and assignment 3. This is a good
way to deepen your knowledge in a choosen topic. You learn
when you want, you receive help promptly, and you may be sure
that your queries will be answered always. Excellent materials,
easy to understand even for people like me with poor English.
-- Jan
Thank you! I understand perfectly now. It's just a matter
of becoming more familiar with the syntax and understanding
when an element is required or not. Gosh this is fun! I
never really thought a course like this could fun. Thanks
again. -- Maria
Keep up the good work! Worth the money and great course
to start real world application practise. It was fun! --
Steven
It gave me the incentive to actually do some work on XML.
Very impressive and professional course. Other students
very highly qualified and motivated. Instructor very highly
qualified. Course material very comprehensive. -- Allison
Susan, I was highly impressed with this course and your
great help and knowledge. I have taken a handful of other
on-line courses and have found this one to be the best instructed
class. There was a high degree of information in the manual
and it was well laid out. Thanks for all of your help! --
