Design Process
Online Learning has adopted an iterative learner-centered design
process.

Business Needs Analysis
At this stage, we work with you to determine your return-on-investment
and success metrics. That way, we can be sure that we will deliver
a rich, interactive learning experience within your financial, time
and technology constraints. For example, do you already have a learning
management platform? Does your course need to be SCORM compliant?
Are you planning to deliver the course via the Internet or via CDROM?
For example, our solutions can be delivered on high-bandwidth and
low-bandwidth connections or on CDROM using a range of monitor settings
and platforms.
Learning Needs Analysis
At this stage, we work with you to develop learning objectives for your course. We determine who your learners are, what they need to learn and how they want to learn it using a variety of standard analysis techniques.
Design Storyboarding
At this stage, we outline the course. We do this by developing a storyboard that describes the text, graphics and interactions for each screen. We develop a high-level outline first. In each successive pass, more detail is added to the storyboard. Our tools allow us to generate a final course directly from the storyboard at any time during the development process. As a result, clients can review and modify course appearance, navigation and interactivity at any time.
Rapid Design Prototyping
At any point in the process, we can produce a functional prototype
of the course for review. So instead of just reviewing storyboards,
you can also review the actual course output in XHTML or even SCORM
format.
Design Implementation
Here is where the real production work begins. We bring together
a team of multimedia experts to bring your course to life! These
skills include illustration, animation, video production, graphic
design, interaction design, web design and development, multimedia
programming, writing and editing, voice talent, and language translation.
Design Test and Verification
All of our courses are tested from both a technical and usability
perspective.
